Zovo DNS Checker
Check live DNS records and email authentication (SPF, DMARC, DKIM, MX) for a domain.
Zovo DNS Checker reads a domain's live public DNS records through DNS-over-HTTPS and explains the email-authentication setup. It lists MX hosts, parses SPF and counts the DNS lookups against the RFC 7208 limit of 10, reads the DMARC policy, reporting addresses and alignment, checks DKIM keys for given selectors, and returns a pass/warn/fail findings list with a one-line fix for each problem, plus a CSV report. It also returns raw A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME, CAA, and SOA records with their TTLs.
What it does
- Live DNS lookups through public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers
- SPF parsing with the DNS-lookup count and the 10-lookup limit (RFC 7208)
- DMARC policy, subdomain policy, percentage, reporting addresses, and alignment
- DKIM key checks for up to five selectors, including revoked and short keys
- MX check with the null-MX and MX-points-to-CNAME cases
- Pass/warn/fail findings with a one-line fix, and a CSV report to download
Try asking
“Check the email DNS records for example.com”
“Do an SPF and DMARC check for example.org”
“Show the MX and TXT records for example.com”
Limitations
- Public DNS only, as seen by public resolvers at the moment of the check
- DKIM needs the selector name; without it the key cannot be found
- Not a full deliverability test; it does not send or receive mail
- It reports records, not what a specific receiving server will decide
